Participation in the Festival has two steps: 1) Application via Acceptd.com 2) Registration via our website form. Applications will open October 15th, 2025 and close April 15, 2026. Space is limited. FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION LEVELS

One Week Studio Artist Program

For adult students, usually those who have played for less than 5 years or are returning to studies after a period away from their instrument.

Included:

  • You will perform in the Studio Concert in the Teatro Communale degli Arrischianti for festival participants and guests;

  • You will receive two 60-min individual lessons

  • You will receive coaching in at least three ensemble rehearsals

  • You may attend all masterclasses across divisions

  • You are invited to the Opening Pizza Dinner at the Villa

  • Your trip and meal are included in our day trip to Montepulciano and the Cantina Gattavecchi

  • Final Dinner at Locanda dei Tintori Restaurant (wine, appetizers, pasta)

  • Shuttle Pick up to/from the Chiusi-Chianciano Train Station/Around Town;

  • Tickets for the Sarteano Castle/ Archeological Museum/Sala Beccafumi Gallery

  • Recording of your concert

    Tuition: $850.00 USD.

Two Week Studio Artist

For artists that play at a high level (adults, advanced university students)

  • You will perform in two Public Concerts at the Teatro Communale degli Arrischianti f

  • You will receive Five 60-min individual lessons

  • You will receive coaching in at least eight ensemble rehearsals

  • You may attend at all masterclasses; and perform in two of them.

  • Your trip and meal are included in our day trip to Montepulciano and the Cantina Gattavecchi

  • You are invited to the Opening Pizza Dinner at the Villa

  • Final Dinner at Locanda dei Tintori Restaurant (wine, appetizers, pasta)

  • Shuttle Pick up to/from the Chiusi-Chianciano Train Station/Around Town;

  • Professional Recording services of concerts

    Tuition: $1,850.00 USD

Visiting Artist

Registration is by permission of the General Director only. Very high level performers who are not interested in lessons or instruction, but who are needed to fill chamber ensembles. May observe lessons/Masterclasses only. Will perform in concerts as decided by the Artistic Team. May select/purchase Cultural Add-ons Activities according to their interests, none are included. Fee: $300.00

Guests

We welcome guests of all ages and participants regularly bring their families, parents, or friends! We do ask that guests register for a small fee for liability/administrative reasons. Then they may select/purchase any of our Cultural Add-on Activities according to their interests and attend Festival performances and masterclasses Fee: $250.00

Programs of study and description

Vocal Studies: classical/opera

Strings Studies: Violin, Cello, or Viola

Wind Studies: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Horn, Bassoon

Piano Studies

Percussion Studies

  • You will enjoy private and group instruction with master teaching-artists and coaches

  • The program is small (usually about 40-50 participants) in order to create a tailor-made, supportive experience for each musician.

  • Repertoire will be selected and assigned by June 1, 2026 so you can learn your music prior to arrival.

  • Multiple opportunities for musicians to participate in solo, quartet, quintet and/or large ensemble public performances in beautiful venues.

  • Ensembles will include groups such as opera scenes, string or wind quartets, duos, jazz combos, madrigal/choral ensembles according to participants’ interests.

  • Our home venue is a breathtaking 18th century ovoid theatre with 45 boxes: Teatro Comunale degli Arrischianti. We also have additional rehearsal and practice rooms in various locations throughout the town’s Historic Center.

  • Cultural enrichment opportunities include exploring a thousand-year-old castle, visiting Montepulciano, going inside an ancient Etruscan tomb, hiking in a Nature Preserve, visiting the spring-fed pool and more.

  • Daily schedule runs 9:00am-7:00pm and includes technique classes, group masterclasses, individual lessons, ensemble coachings, scenes stagings, trips to nearby attractions, and more. You will not have classes during all of these hours; there will be time for relaxation, exploration and practice.

  • You will sample the local cuisine in world class restaurants - and don’t forget your daily gelato for dessert!
