We will once again offer small group Italian conversation classes with Sara Petrocelli!
Italian Conversation Class - group
Students will engage in level-appropriate conversations with classmates, utilizing colloquial expressions and playing out commonplace scenarios such as dining, traveling and socializing. This class will include instruction in the fundamentals of pronunciation.
$120 for 4 one-hour classes

2. Italian Diction Workshop - group
Students will study the mechanics of Italian diction for lyrical singing. Two Italian songs will be assigned to the entire class to study and then to perform for one another.

3. Italian Aria Lab - individual
The student will choose one of his or her performance pieces for an SMT concert as the focus of these one-on-one lessons in diction and syntax in support of dramatic interpretation.
$60 for 2 sessions, 1 hour initially, 30-min follow-up

Flute Intensive
This summer, we will offer a Solo Flute and Piccolo Intensive with Ashley Mendeke after hours and during some afternoons. This opportunity is for advanced/intermediate players who want to focus on refining technique, piccolo, extended techniques, and career preparation. $325 for all workshops:

Conducting Practicum with Score Study
Study conducting/score reading with SMT founder Jim Millar. Dive into the score and then practice bringing it to life with gestures. With decades of experience leading ensembles of every shape and size, Jim will offer small group lessons as well as individual coaching, according to demand. Enjoy 4 small group conducting lessons for $200 total, individual coaching for $50/hour.
